Characteristics of K type thermocouple
The thermocouple detector is one of the most commonly used temperature sensors in industry. It must be equipped with two meters.
(1) high accuracy. Because the thermocouple is directly contacted with the tested object, it is not affected by the intermediate medium.
(2) wide range of measurement. The common thermocouples can be continuously measured from - 50 ~ + 1600 C. Some special thermocouples can be measured at - 269 C (e. g. Au, Fe, Ni, Cr) and up to + 2800 C (e. g. W - Re).
It is simple in structure and easy to use. Thermocouple is usually composed of two different wires, and is not limited by size and opening, external protective sleeve, very convenient to use.
K-type thermocouple has the advantages of good linearity, large thermoelectric potential, high sensitivity, good stability and uniformity, strong oxidation resistance, low price and so on. It can be used in oxidizing inert atmosphere. Widely used by users.
K-type thermocouples can not be used directly at high temperatures in alternating atmospheres of sulfur, reducibility or reduction, oxidation and vacuum, nor are they recommended for weak oxidation.
The application of K-type thermocouple in industry brings enormous convenience and use to many projects, of course, there are many ways of thermocouple, K-type thermocouple is the best one.
The advantages of K type thermocouple are:
1. the thermo emf has a good linearity.
The oxidation resistance is good below 2.1000 C.
3. the soundness is good in spattering metal thermocouples.
